Video game progress update topic

I don't know about the other members here, but I know that at least TWEWY and I are Backloggery users.

That may throw away the need for a thread like this, but still there are things you can do in a forum thread that you can't in a Backloggery note, such as going into greater detail.

I'm kind of just waiting for Halo: Reach to come out, but I've also been playing


World Soccer Winning Eleven 7 International

I beat Cup Mode, and now to beat this I want to finish League and Master League mode.

Playing as France, I'm 12-0-0 or so in League Mode, which I'll finish before moving onto Master League mode.


I really love this game, it feels like real soccer (or football)


Okami

At about 25 hours in, I stopped playing this for a while, but I played some today and finished Oni Island.

Pokemon Gold Version

I'm an hour or two in
I picked chicorita for my starter(I have the other 2 startersin HG so thats why)
Chicorita is lvl 13
I have 7 pokemon in total
I would have a badge by now but Chicorita has a weakness to every pokemon there

The game is amazing so far

Mega Man 3

I'm at the four super boss thingy's and beat one of them

I am obsessed with the second mega man but this one is still awesome!



Oh and when BBS comes out i'll play that like crazy

Played a bunch of Winning Eleven 7, now I'm about 20-0-0 in League Mode.


In around 5 games or so I think I'll be clinching 1st place.

I wanted to play some Okami, but I did some house work instead.

Why'd you put a cherry after all that??

Currently playing Kirby's dreamland and pokemon Silver

How is okami? I've always thought it looked cool

I like Okami a lot.


There's a lot more breast jokes (one character has major cleavage) and such than I'd like, but overall story and gameplay wise I like it a lot. Also you probably already know about the art style, but it's awesome.


Speaking of which, I played an hour or two today, getting to Yashpot or whatever it is. I'm really liking Kamui, the land in the North of Nippon, and the Oina tribe that lives there, they can all turn into different animals.

I heard Okami is kinda like The Legend of Zelda.

There are definite similiarties, but Okami is still it's own game and everything.

4 hours 58 minutes in
3 badges and In Goldenrod City
and also pretty much one more day until BBS

I beat Okami, after about 37 hours in (plus 16, because that's about how far I got into the game before re-starting)


Ending was fine, the final boss was not. When you're that late in the game you have a ton of items that make everything easy, and so you don't die, but the boss also doesn't because he has like 4 forms and a lot of health.


But, I'm still happy I beat it, and over the game was great. Minus the breast jokes I mentioned earlier.


Also, just about a week until Halo: Reach, so I'll probably try to beat at least one more game before then, probably Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, since I only have like 5 levels left.

Played and beat Halo Reach since my last update, now I'll probably just play that until I have the funds for my Top Loading NES

I just got a front loader nes!

Cool, I hope it's flicker free.



I wish I could get a front loader, but I want to get the Top loader to be safe.

I beat 4 Mega Man 2 bosses today, Turbo FTW. All that's left is Wood Man.

You could just get a front loader and than put new 72 pin connectors in it if it flickers which is around $8. I was lucky and mine came with brand new just installed 72 pin connectors so I should be flicker free for quite some time.

I actually have a NES (well, it's my brothers'), and I saw a Youtube vid where replacement looked pretty easy, so my brother and I looked for the NES, it was found, and I bought the connector for $10.


If this works, I'mma have to E-Hug you for saving me 75-ish dollars.

Well, actually it's more like $50-$60, WHICH IS STILL A LOT.



And if it doesn't work out, the only thing I lost would be $10, since the NES is already here and broken anyway.

So I popped in Zelda Collector's Disc into my GameCube the other night and played some Ocarina of Time, but I was back at the starting village




I still had my shield and everything, and all the treasure chests I saw were open, but I was at the beginning.

Sounds like a corrupted save. Look at it this way. You have some New Game Plus if the story isn't screwed up about letting you progress.

I'm trying to beat Darkwing Duck. In a session last night I beat the first 3 stages without dieing. Beat another stage and only died two or three times, then got owned by Moliarty, who killed me many many times.


But I discovered that it just takes patience, and you'll be fine.



And I now really want to play a SHMUP, but I have no money and I don't already own any SHMUPS that are that fun to play.

Could you just play one on PC? I love a freeware one called Warning Forever but that isn't for everyone.

For the sake of paranoia I don't want to download anything on the laptop that my mom borrowed from work.

I may give Blue Dragon the Okami treatment, and restart it, this time with Japanese voices (<-- probably main reason why I'm restarting, since you can't change voices mid-game)

I already re-started, but didn't overwrite all of my other saves.

I beat 720 degrees which is the worst skateboarding game i've ever played and playing The Guardian Legend.

My NES games I've been talking about arrived yesterday, and I've been playing them.


I beat Contra on the "Konami Code" difficulty setting, and I'm like 4-1 as the Dallas Cowboys in Tecmo Super Bowl.


I also bought Final Fantasy Chronicles (FF IV and Chrono Trigger compilation) for PSone brand new off amazon for $16.82 or so plus $10 (I bought my mom's Christmas gift, and buying the two together allowed me to get free shipping for both)
